Weekly Classes

My classes are run as an open studio, with each student working on their own project at their own pace! Classes are open to oil and acrylic painters, from beginners on up. Classes are limited to 8 students, to ensure lots of one-on-one instruction time.

Throughout class, I spend time with each student, helping them learn about their materials and find a style they love. Lessons focus on color theory including value, temperature, saturation and hues, plus contrast, edges, design and drawing skills. I also do demonstrations in class to help illustrate the concepts students will be learning.

  1. I am interested in taking the class live rural though , close to Sundre
. Would you consider a Cochrane class sometime? Best regards

    1. Good morning Jessica, thanks for the note! Yes, I teach Ina few rural locations. I taught in Cochrane for a while, but had a hard time filling my classes. But I’ll keep a workshop in mind for the new year. Wish it could be sooner, but my schedule is completely filled up until the holiday season. Thanks again for writing!

    2. Btw Jessica, if you have a group of artists who would like to take a workshop, I’d love to come up to Sundre… We could talk about rates if you’d like to call or email. I keep them quite reasonable. And it would fit well with a project I’m working on. Let me know if that’s workable! Have a great week! Cheryl.

    1. Good morning Robin, thanks for inquiring. I’m sorry, I don’t have any weeklies scheduled in High River right now. If I get enough inquiries to consider scheduling one I’ll be sure to let you know. Have you checked out my workshops page? I have two workshops scheduled there for the new season.

    1. Hi Gerti, yes! My apologies, am behind in updating my site for this year. I don’t have any spaces open in my weekly classes unfortunately. But I’ll be posting some workshops soon!
