Late in the Summer

Late in the Summer – 9″x12″ – Acrylic

I captured this pretty scene while my husband and I were driving up to Pigeon Lake in August. We have friends there, and always love to visit them at their cozy hideaway in the woods. Later in August, I felt very lucky to be one of Galleria’s featured artists for ‘Artwalk’ this year. Galleria is the gallery that represents me and my work in Calgary, and I was thrilled to paint on-location for the occasion. ‘Late in the Summer’ was the painting I created that day. So, to me, this painting is filled with memories of summer days – days spent sharing time with new friends and old, with the late-summer sun shining it’s golden sparkle everywhere I looked. Hope you enjoy it; thanks for looking.

PS – I haven’t put a price on this painting because I think it’s already spoken for! If that changes, I’ll be sure to update! I’ve got a few more paintings still drying in my studio – I’ll be sure to post them as soon as they’re ready. Thanks again!
